Bad Behavior is Bad Business [INFOGRAPHIC]

Does your company belittle “soft skills”? If so, they’re setting themselves up for failure. Improving soft skills among employees and management can dramatically impact the bottom line and significantly increase employee retention.

In fact, almost a third of employees reported they were less creative when treated rudely and managers spend an average of 7 weeks mediating conflicts and mending relationships.

It’s no surprise that employees are leaving given that more employees quit their jobs over rudeness, incivility and lack of trust in management than any other reason. The cost is high, with $66 MM spent annually on replacing employees who leave due to this incivility in the workplace.

Companies that ignore the need to develop soft skills do so at their own risk.
