Practical Tips: Use Your Breaks Strategically

The holidays are over and it’s back to business for most of us. The shorter days and colder weather encourage isolation, so it’s especially important to make an effort to stay connected and manage your energy.

Instead of eating at your desk and working straight through your lunch hour, make an effort to take a short walk. If the weather is bad, walk through the office and make plans to socialize with coworkers.

What you describe is a common scenario. To avoid it, make sure you’re communicating before, during, and after training to make sure they completely understand why they’re being trained, how they are likely to benefit, and how the training ties to the business objectives.
