I am in a service business and it seems like I do everyone's job, not just mine. How do I balance being in a service function with pushing back? M.B., Tenafly, NJ

You’re right, it’s a delicate balance. I find that those who were trained in a service capacity don’t discriminate—they help everyone. While this is a wonderful human trait, it’s not always good for business.
