Distorted Thinking

Most of us are paid for our thinking so it’s in our best interest to make sure that our thinking is clear. Unfortunately many don’t realize that their own thinking is problematic. After all, it’s hard to see the picture when you’re inside the frame.

Thought distortions are ways that our mind convinces us of something that isn’t really true. These inaccurate thoughts are usually used to reinforce negative thinking or emotions—telling ourselves things that sound rational and accurate, but really just keep us feeling bad about ourselves.
