Get Out of Your Own Way

Discomfort with certain tasks can create a lot of extra work for ourselves and sow discord among our teams. Getting out of our own way means doing the right thing for the business no matter how uncomfortable.

Have the hard conversations. It’s not fair to the team, the company, or the staffer if you ignore problems that warrant a performance conversation. Having the confidence to have tough conversations about uncomfortable topics is what a leader does.
